As a big succulen<\/a>t lover, I have a long love-hate story with Sedum rubrotinctum<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first time I bought it was in spring. A small pot, super cute, with fat little jelly bean leaves \u2014 green and red, shining under the sun. I loved it so much, I watered it a lot, and moved it to get more sun. But… after just one week, leaves started to fall. A little touch and the leaves just dropped like crazy. Even no touch, it still dropped. After one month, nothing left but some skinny stems. I was so heartbroken.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t give up, and bought the second pot. This time, I was super careful. Less water, more gentle sunlight. But the weather was crazy \u2014 too much temperature difference between day and night. Again, the leaves fell one by one. I watched the leaves covering the soil and thought, maybe I’m just not good at growing succulents?<\/p>\n

I tried a few more times. Same result. Bought, dropped, died.<\/p>\n

Then I started to check online, read posts from succulent growers, and slowly found out where I was wrong.<\/p>\n

Last autumn, I decided to give it one last shot. I bought another small Sedum rubrotinctum. This time, I changed everything:<\/p>\n
